We are part of the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, striving to promote a better understanding of the principles of democracy and to inculcate a higher appreciation of the benefits of American citizenship in Boerne, Texas. We advocate patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.

The American Legion, Department of Texas is made up of over 65,000 Legionnaires in 480 Posts all across Texas. The Department is Divided into four Divisions with a Division Commander elected annually in the spring to serve a one year term to work on membership and to coordinate the activities of the Posts and Legionnaires within that geographical area. Each Division is divided into districts with a total of twenty-two Districts in The Department of Texas, each with a District Commander and other such officers as determined by each District.
Our Mission of The American Legion Post 313 is to improve the quality of life of our fellow veterans, their families and our community. For God and Country, we associate ourselves together for the following purposes: to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to maintain law and order; to foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism; to preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in all wars; to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation; to combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses; to make right the master of might; to promote peace and good will on earth; to safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom, and democracy; to consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual help.
We meet on the second Monday of each month from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the Kronkosky Building located at 17 Old San Antonio Road, Boerne, Texas. Come early and join our Social Hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. This American Legion Post existing under this Constitution is known as Captain Mark "Tyler" Voss Post 313, Boerne, Texas. This Post has been designated “A Centennial Post,” having been chartered during the Centennial Year of the founding of The American Legion (1919-2019) and was chartered on May 16, 2019 by the National American Legion through its American Legion Department of Texas as an IRS Code 501(c)(19) Federal Non-Profit Veteran organization and thereby being exempt from taxes on Post “related income” under the American Legion Group Exemption Number (GEN) 0925.
The Purpose of this Post is to promote the principles and policies as set forth in the foregoing Preamble and the National American Legion and Department of Texas Constitutions and By-Laws.
In the spirit of Service, not Self, the mission of The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 313 is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security. Founded in 1919, the American Legion Auxiliary is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. With a membership of nearly 800,000, American Legion Auxiliary units have a strong presence in more than 9,000 communities nationwide.

Come early and join our Social Hour from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. The vision of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion while becoming the premier service organization and foundation of every community providing support for our veterans, our military, and their families by shaping a positive future in an atmosphere of fellowship, patriotism, peace and security.
The American Legion Riders Chapter 313 participates in organized rides, parades and other community events and ceremonies that are in keeping with the Aims and Purposes of the American Legion. We promote motorcycle safety and education programs providing a social atmosphere for American Legion members who share the same interest.
American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded servicemembers and scholarships.
The mission of Squadron 313 of the Sons of The American Legion is to honor our fathers, mothers, grandparents, great grandparents, step parents' service to our country and continue their legacy. We support The American Legion Post 313 in promoting a wide variety of programs and activities such as Veterans programs, Veterans Administration home and hospital volunteerism, Children Youth projects and fundraising.

The Sons of The American Legion is one of many organizations that sponsors and supports the Citizens Flag Alliance, a coalition formed to secure flag protection legislation through an amendment to the U.S. Constitution. S.A.L. volunteers work to establish local networks by having petitions available and handing out informational material. They alert their communities to the importance of respect for the flag and they encourage flag education programs in schools and other local organizations.
